What Makes Us Different

Why Families Choose World of Wonder

Three commitments most childcare centers do not make: a true family community, ongoing professional development at every level, and a fully immersive bilingual program from infancy.

Bilingual Childcare Center

A Fully Immersive Bilingual Experience

At World of Wonder, we offer a fully immersive bilingual Spanish/English program from infancy through graduation. Children are exposed to both languages throughout the entire day, woven naturally into circle time, music, story time, transitions, and conversations.

This is not a once-a-week language lesson. It is a comprehensive approach where both languages are used consistently by our bilingual teaching staff throughout every activity and interaction.

The Benefits of Early Bilingualism

  • Cognitive flexibility: Bilingual children show enhanced problem-solving abilities and mental agility
  • Stronger memory: Managing two languages strengthens working memory from an early age
  • Brain development: Early bilingual exposure supports overall neurological development
  • Cultural awareness: Children develop appreciation for diverse cultures and perspectives
  • Pre-K readiness: By graduation, children have strong English skills with the lifelong advantage of being bilingual

A child who knows three words in English and three words in Spanish has a vocabulary of six words for their age. By preschool, children in bilingual programs are typically on track or ahead of their monolingual peers.

Diversity & Inclusion

A Place Where Every Child Belongs

At World of Wonder, we believe every child deserves to feel seen, valued, and equally loved, never overlooked, never left out. Our bilingual program is a reflection of our commitment to embracing the rich cultural diversity of the Hoboken and Jersey City communities we serve.

We celebrate the unique backgrounds, languages, and traditions that each family brings to our community. Our classrooms are designed to be inclusive spaces where differences are honored and children learn to appreciate the world around them.

Our diverse teaching staff represents the multicultural fabric of our neighborhoods, serving as positive role models who help children see themselves reflected in their caregivers and educators.

Our Community

Building a Village for Families

At World of Wonder, we build a community of families, not a transactional drop-off. Many families stay connected for years after their children graduate.

Family Connections

We create opportunities for families to connect, share experiences, and build relationships that extend well beyond the classroom walls.

Lifelong Friendships

Friendships formed at WOW often last years beyond graduation. Our alumni families are a testament to the bonds built here.

Community Events

Partnerships with local vendors provide diverse activities, from sports sessions to yoga and dance classes, enriching our community.

Our Curriculum

Play-Based, Developmentally Appropriate Learning

We use a play-based, developmentally appropriate curriculum that supports social-emotional growth, language development, early academics, and physical development.

Each day includes structured learning activities, free play, art, outdoor time, meals and snacks, and rest periods. We balance routine with flexibility to meet each child's individual needs.

Our proprietary theme-based curriculum is designed to engage children through hands-on experiences, ensuring they develop a natural curiosity and love for learning that carries them through their educational journey.

Our Staff

Dedicated, Trained Professionals

We invest in professional development at every level, from the owner down to teacher assistants, through coaching, training, and ongoing learning.

Our dedicated team of professionals undergoes rigorous training in health and safety protocols. From CPR certification to emergency response drills, our staff is well-equipped to handle any situation. They are not just caregivers. They are guardians committed to the well-being of your child.

Our intentional holiday closures (approximately 15 to 17 days annually) give our teachers time to rest so they can continue showing up with patience, energy, and genuine care for your child.

A Letter from Our CEO

Meet Diane Branco

Diane Branco
CEO / Owner

Hi There!

My name is Diane. I am a Jersey City mom and the proud owner of World of Wonder Childcare Center (WOW) and Wowkids, LLC in Hoboken. I am also one of the owners of Park View Academy in Jersey City, NJ.

After spending a decade in corporate America, I opened my childcare business. Following my departure from Merrill Lynch in late 2006, I dedicated an entire year in 2007 to researching our local Hoboken community's childcare needs and logistics. On January 2nd, 2008, I had the joy of opening the doors to World of Wonder Childcare Center.

My journey into motherhood began when I became a first-time mom in June 2003. This milestone also began my internal conflict as a working mother. I was torn between my desire to continue my career, guilt about not staying home with my daughter, and the anxiety of entrusting someone else with her care.

However, I was sure I would be a better mom, wife, and friend if I remained a working mother. After years of trying to find the right balance between motherhood and career, navigating a challenging nanny experience, receiving endless support from my husband, and conducting extensive research, the WOW family was born.

One of the most invaluable lessons I have learned through motherhood is the immense benefit of fostering a supportive social network around my family. This understanding drives my goal as a childcare owner: to make WOW your home away from home and help you build a community where you can cultivate lifelong relationships for yourself and your children.

I look forward to welcoming you to our WOW family. Let us help create a memorable experience for you and your children filled with endless growth, learning, and fun!

Sincerely,
Diane Branco
CEO/Owner
